This fantastic, three-day family friendly festival experience returns to Lion Green, off Weyhill on Friday 1st, Saturday 2nd and Sunday 3rd July 2016, offering the very best in alternative and popular music, dance, arts & crafts, performance poetry, zany inter-school Poetry Slams, drama and theatre, children’s entertainment , hysterical Comedy Clubs and a HUGE range of exciting activities.

The Haslemere Fringe Festival also brings together local schools, clubs and societies to introduce amazing talent, as well as supporting local businesses and artisans. The partner charity for the July 2016 Fringe is Liphook-based “Dreams Come True” – a national charity that works hard to fulfil the dreams of children and young people with serious and life-limiting conditions.
MUSIC:  Over 30 Singer/songwriters, new artists and established bands, including Headliners, From The Jam, fronted by Bruce Foxton, founder member of the iconic band The Jam, Chas & Dave famous for their cheeky cockney singalong style and Flight Brigade, one of Britain’s most exciting young bands.
THE MUSIC WORKS: A Fringe Partner, The Music Works will be running a selection of music workshops for both children (7+) and adults. Plus, steel pan workshops from Sussex Steel and learning the Ukulele! COMEDY: Compered by comedian, Andy Stedman, The Comedy Club introduces seven entertaining comedians delivering inventive streams of quirky quips, and laugh out loud gags – including Headliner, Matt Forde, one of Britain’s critically acclaimed satirists.
PERFORMANCE POETRY: Geoff Allnutt, aka The Speech Painter, is joined by four talented Performance Poets set to entertain with a myriad of words and the fiercely competitive Poetry Slam, featuring four local secondary schools teams - mentored by the Fringe poets!
THE KID’S ZONE : “Molly in the Moon” – Creative Kids!” – a fun packed programme – including drama, music , dance, art and entertainers - PLUS a children’s Fun Fair!
DANCE: Showcasing fabulous dance forms from Street to Classic, Contemporary to Bollywood and Dance Theatre and performances from local dance schools. "http://www.lionfest.co.uk/dance/"
STREET PERFORMERS: Stilt walkers, jugglers, Circus acts, a traditional Punch & Judy Show and the uplifting Strongperson competition!
