Happy New Year!
Firstly thank you to all those who attended my concert promotions in 2017 - a year which saw my eclectic programme of concerts cover everything from French Jazz to pure Western music. Much of the year rocked too with Blues, Classic, Country, Folk, Indie, Jazz and Progressive music all being accompanied by the Rock handle! The year was capped by raising a magnificent £2,260 for the Trinity Trust Team charity at the final show in December by Pink Floyd tribute band, Any Colour You Like, who will be returning on 8th December.

Having downed tools and recharged my batteries over the festive period I am gearing up to bring you some great live music in 2018. All of the upcoming shows are at ST. JOHN'S CHURCH in FARNCOMBE unless specified otherwise:

SATURDAY 20th JANUARY - THE VOX BEATLES (BEATLES TRIBUTE) - £14 adv / £17 door

What a great way to blow away the January blues with an evening of Beatles music. An incredibly accurate portrayal of the recordings that we all know and love. The equipment is identical and the costumes are reproduced in detail. A real musical and visual treat.

SATURDAY 3rd FEBRUARY - GENESIS VISIBLE TOUCH (PHIL COLLINS-ERA GENESIS TRIBUTE) - £14 adv / £17 door

“Top drawer musical performances and exemplary vocals, matched with leading production values …a live show not to be missed!” Featuring songs from: We Can't Dance / Invisible Touch / Genesis / Abacab / Duke / And Then There Were Three / Wind and Wuthering / A Trick of the Tail / The Lamb Lies Down on Broadway / Selling England by the Pound.

FRIDAY 9th FEBRUARY - HARRIET - £20 adv / £24 door

The glorious singer, reminiscent of Karen Carpenter has been a regular voice on Radio 2 and championed by both Graham Norton and Paul O’Grady. "A mesmerising performer: Karen Carpenter meets Stevie Nicks". Performing songs from her highly recommended debut album and some stunning covers, this is an evening not to be missed.

SATURDAY 17th FEBRUARY - CURVED AIR - £16 adv / £19 door

Returning by popular demand Curved Air are a legendary British Progressive, Classic, Art Rock group. Featuring beautiful demonic violin, tremendous musicianship and the exotic presence of lead singer Sonja Kristina.

SATURDAY 24th FEBRUARY - DIRE STRAITS UK @ HASLEMERE HALL - £17 adv

This band went down a storm in Farncombe last year and I am delighted to be co-promoting their first ever show in Haslemere. Experience the magic of Dire Straits music, performed by 6 very talented super-fans. The Dire Straits legacy leaves two decades of timeless music for us to enjoy including the rock classics Money for Nothing, Sultans of Swing and many more. Performed in a way that only fans can deliver, Dire Straits UK are the quintessential Dire Straits tribute show in the UK today.

Looking ahead to MARCH:

Hope you are well. Before heading into the upcoming events, just to mention that I have received very positive feedback about the Farncombe Music Club concerts from the most recent meeting of the Farncombe PCC. However there was one request that audience members do not take any food or drinks of any kind into the Church itself during the concerts. This request to include food and other drinks shouldn't inconvenience most of our audience members who either drink alcohol (which isn't allowed to be consumed in the Church in any case) or other drinks or eat food in the Church Room either before the show or during what is a generous 30 minute interval. New notices will be on display at the FMC concerts.
